Application Methods and Rates

Planting Directly Into UpCycle CocoMax:

• Rate: Use as-is. Fill containers or planting beds directly with UpCycle CocoMax.

• Method: Ensure proper drainage in your containers or planting area. Plant seedlings, transplants, or seeds directly into the media.

• Frequency: Combined with the power of biochar, this media does not need to be replaced but only replenished seasonally via our worm castings, compost, or fish hydrolysate.

Mixing with Other Grow Media:

• Rate: Combine UpCycle CocoMax at a 1:1 ratio with other grow media such as soil, compost, or coco coir.

• Method: Mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution. Use this blend in containers, raised beds, or garden beds.

• Frequency: Mix fresh batches as needed for each planting cycle.

For Seed Starting:

• Rate: Use as-is or blend 50% UpCycle CocoMax with a seed starting mix.

• Method: Fill seed trays and plant seeds as directed for your crop. Lightly water after planting.

• Frequency: Use for all seed starting needs during the planting season.

Soil Amendment for Existing Beds

• Rate: Spread 1-2 inches of UpCycle CocoMax across the soil surface and incorporate into the top 6 inches of soil.

• Method: Work evenly into the soil before planting or as a mid-season boost.

• Frequency: Once at the start of the season or during the transplanting process targeted around the hole.
